What is Order #0428 – commonly known as? ‘Torch-Men-Order’
[now confirmed by todays Russian Government]
Stalin’s Order #0428, commanded on the 17th November 1941, declared that Partisans wearing German uniforms, particularly those of the Waffen-SS, were to destroy all settlements within a swathe of about 40 – 60 km depth from the main battle lines and to ruthlessly kill the civilian population. With these tactics it was important to leave a few survivors, who would report the staged “German Atrocities.”
This method of warfare was also confirmed by German soldiers who captured many Jewish-Russian Partisans wearing German uniforms.
Almost daily, reports were being issued by the media, that the German forces advanced with the declared politics and aim of a “Scorched Earth” approach, which devastated the vast Russian lands in the most horrific way.
Apart from the logical fact that no invader destroys the very infrastructure necessary for his advancement in an occupied territory, Germany’s Program, called “Ostacker Programm” (Eastern fields program) was designed to restore the devastated lands.

“All settlements, in which German troops are found, up to a depth of 40 – 60km from the main lines of battle, are to be destroyed and set on fire, also 20-30km from the roads. For the destruction of the settled areas in the required radius, the air force will be made available, also artillery and rocket-launchers will be used extensively, as well as intelligence units, skiers and Partisan divisions, who are equipped with bottles with flammable liquid. These hunting expeditions in their activities of destruction are to be dressed to the greatest extent in German soldier’s uniforms and uniforms of the Waffen-SS looted from the German army.
This will ignite hatred toward all fascist occupiers and make the conscription of partisans from the outlaying areas of fascist territories easier. It is important to have survivors who will tell about “German atrocities”. For this purpose every regiment is to form hunter-units of about 20- 30 men strong with the task to detonate and incinerate the villages. We have to select brave fighters for this action of destruction of settled areas. These men will be especially recommended to receive bravery awards when working in German uniforms behind enemy lines and destroying those settlement outposts. Among the population we have to spread the rumor that the Germans are burning the villages in order to punish the Partisans.”
If the Jewish Bolsheviks were purposely sacrificing people in these ways, to create anti-German propaganda, there is no doubt they would have photographed these horrors to drive the message home.
No doubt, from this time originate the famous ‘Atrocity Photos’ of mass-executions which are the favourites of the press.
Furthermore, this does not reconcile with the Official ‘Holocaust’ narrative, of the Germans going to great extent to conceal their crimes by burning records and millions of bodies, which is one of the excuses as to why the Allies could not find any evidence to the purported mass gassings of internees. The ‘Official’ narrative would have us believe that the Germans (in the middle of war and Soviet advancement) hunted through millions of documents to dispose of records of killing people – by burning them – but insure they developed hundreds of incriminating photographs to leave behind, accessible for the world to see?
Additionally, with hands tied behind the back and the single shot to the back of the neck/head, was the method and training of the Cheka and NKVD, for singular executions.
As was proven with the Bolshevik crime of the Katyn Forest Massacre.
The fear and hate hysteria created from imagery, was not just limited to performing in front of the camera… simply manipulating the imagery by superimposing over innocent photo’s for the desired effect, was also utilised… here is just a small example of many.

Former Soviet Military Intelligence Officer, discloses the Bolshevik Plan to invade and conquer all of Europe.

In his book ‘Icebreaker: Who Started the Second World War?’ Viktor Suvorov, who defected to the west in 1978, gives an indepth, detailed look at the origins and development of World War II, but in particular, the background to Hitler’s ‘Operation Barbarossa’ attack against Soviet Russia in June, 1941.
The colloquial view of Germany’s attack, is that it abruptly forced a neutral, non-aggressive Soviet Russia into war. This illogical view also paints that Stalin was surprised and had naively trusted the German Fuhrer.
However, prior to Hitler’s preventative invasion, Court Historians neglect to mention the Red Army’s attack on Finland (November 30, 1939), bombing of Sweden (February 21, 1940), the invasion of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (June 18, 1940) and that Stalin had forced Romania to surrender Bessarabia [Moldavia] (June 27, 1940).
From evidence and among many other witnesses, Suvorov details the Bolsheviks responsibility for the war’s outbreak and progression. Above all, he details the vast Soviet preparations for an invasion of Europe in the summer of 1941 with the goal of Sovietising Europe.
“For Lenin, as for Marx, world revolution remained the guiding star, and he did not lose sight of this goal. But according to the minimum program, the First World War would only facilitate a revolution in one country. How then, would the world revolution take place thereafter? Lenin gave a clear-cut answer to this question in 1916: “as a result of the second imperialist war”…”
Initially the ‘Union of Soviet Socialist Republics’ was made up of only a handful of constituent republics. Lenin and the other Soviet leaders intended that more republics would be added to the USSR until it encompassed the entire globe. Thus, writes Suvorov, “the declaration accompanying the formation of the USSR was a clear and direct declaration of war on the rest of the world.”
Soviet Preparations
Throughout history, every army has had a basic mission, one that requires corresponding preparations.
An army whose mission is basically defensive is accordingly trained and equipped for defensive war.
It heavily fortifies the country’s frontier areas, and employs its units in echeloned depth.
It builds defensive emplacements and obstacles, lays extensive minefields, and digs tank traps and ditches.
Military vehicles, aircraft, weapons and equipment suitable for defending the country are designed, produced and supplied.
Officers and troops are trained in defense tactics and counter-offensive operations.
An army whose mission is aggressive war acts very differently.
Officers and troops are trained for offensive operations.
They are supplied with weapons and equipment designed for attack, and the frontier area is prepared accordingly.
Troops and their material are massed close to the frontier, obstacles are removed, and minefields are cleared.
Maps of the areas to be invaded are issued to officers, and the troops are briefed on terrain problems, how to deal with the population to be conquered, and so forth.
Carefully examining the equipping, training and deployment of Soviet forces, as well as the numbers and strengths of Soviet weaponry, vehicles, supplies and aircraft, Suvorov establishes in great detail that the Red Army was organized and deployed in the summer of 1941 for attack, not defense.
Peculiar Tanks
Germany entered war in 1939 with 3,195 tanks. As Suvorov points out, this was fewer than a single Soviet factory in Kharkov, operating on a, so-called, “peacetime” basis, was turning out every six months.
By 1941 everyone recognized the ‘Tank’ as the primary weapon of an army of attack in a European land war. During this period, Suvorov shows, the Soviets were producing large quantities of the well armed ‘Mark BT’ tank, predecessor of the famed T34 model. ‘BT’ were the initials for the Russian words “high speed tank.” The first of this series had a top speed of 100 kilometers per hour, impressive even by today’s standards. But as Suvorov goes on to note, this weapon had a peculiarity:
“…Having said so many positive things about the numbers and quality of Soviet tanks, one must note one minor drawback. It was impossible to use these tanks on Soviet territory …Mark BT tanks could only be used in an aggressive war, only in the rear of the enemy and only in a swift offensive operation, in which masses of tanks suddenly burst into enemy territory …”
The Mark BT tanks were quite powerless on Soviet territory. When Hitler began Operation Barbarossa, practically all the Mark BT tanks were cast aside. It was almost impossible to use them off the roads, even with caterpillar tracks. They were never used on wheels. The potential of these tanks was never realized, but it certainly could never have been realized on Soviet territory. The Mark BT was created to operate on foreign territory only and, what is more, only on territory where there were good roads …
To the question, where could the enormous potential of these Mark BT tanks be successfully realized?… there is only one answer: in central and southern Europe. The only territories where tanks could be used, after their caterpillar tracks were removed, were Germany, France and Belgium … Caterpillar tracks are only a means for reaching foreign territory. For instance, Poland could be crossed on caterpillar tracks which, once the German autobahns had been reached, could then be discarded in favour of wheels, on which operations would then proceed …
It is said that Stalin’s tanks were not ready for war. That was not so. They were not ready for a defensive war on their own territory. They were, however, designed to wage war on others.”
Airborne Assault Corps
Similarly designed for offensive war are paratroops. This most aggressive form of infantry is employed primarily as an invasion force. Germany formed its first airborne assault units in 1936, and by 1939 had 4,000 paratroops.
And the USSR? Suvorov explains: “By the beginning of the war [1939], the Soviet Union had more than one million trained paratroopers — 200 times more than all other countries in the world put together, including Germany… It is quite impossible to use paratroopers in such massive numbers in a defensive war…. No country in history, or indeed all countries in the world put together, including the Soviet Union, has ever had so many paratroopers and air assault landing sub-units as Stalin had in 1941.”
As part of the planned invasion, in early 1940 orders were given for large-scale construction of airborne assault gliders, which were produced in mass quantity from the spring of 1941 onward. The Soviets also designed and built the remarkable KT “winged tank.” After landing, its wings and tail-piece were discarded, making the KT instantly ready for combat. The author also describes a variety of other offense-oriented units and weapons, and their deployment in June 1941 in areas and jumping-off points right on the frontiers with Germany and Romania. All these weapons of offensive war became instantly useless following the Barbarossa attack, when the Soviets suddenly required defensive weapons.
Suvorov tells of a secret meeting in December 1940, attended by Stalin and other Politburo members at which General Pavel Rychagov, deputy defense minister and commander of the Soviet air force, discussed the details of “special operations in the initial period of war.” He spoke of the necessity of keeping the air force’s preparations secret in order to “catch the whole of the enemy air force on the ground.” Suvorov comments:
“It is quite obvious that it is not possible to ‘catch the whole of the enemy air force on the ground’ in time of war. It is only possible to do so in peacetime, when the enemy does not suspect the danger. Stalin created so many airborne troops that they could only be used in one situation: after a surprise attack by the Soviet air force on the airfields of the enemy. It would be simply impossible to use hundreds of thousands of airborne troops and thousands of transport aircraft and gliders in any other situation.”
Suvorov also reports on the dismantling in June 1941 of the Soviet frontier defense systems, and the deployment there of masses of troops and armour poised for westward attack.
Stalin Preempted
During the period just prior to the planned Soviet invasion, the USSR’s western military districts were ordered to deploy all 114 divisions, then stationed in the interior, to positions on the frontier. Thus, remarks Suvorov, June 13, 1941, “marks the beginning of the greatest displacement of troops in the history of civilization.”
Such a massive build-up of forces directly on the frontier simply could not be kept secret. As Suvorov notes, Wilhelm Keitel, Field Marshal and Chief of Germany’s armed forces High Command, spoke about the German fears during a postwar interrogation:
“All the preparatory measures we took before spring 1941 were defensive measures against the contingency of a possible attack by the Red Army. Thus the entire war in the East, to a known degree, may be termed a preventive war … We decided … to forestall an attack by Soviet Russia and to destroy its armed forces with a surprise attack. By spring 1941, I had formed the definite opinion that the heavy build-up of Russian troops, and their attack on Germany which would follow, would place us, in both economic and strategic terms, in an exceptionally critical situation … Our attack was the immediate consequence of this threat …”
In 1941, Admiral N. G. Kuznetsov was the Soviet Navy minister, as well as a member of the Central Committee of the Soviet Communist Party. In his postwar memoirs, published in 1966, he recalled:
“For me there is one thing beyond all argument — J. V. Stalin not only did not exclude the possibility of war with Hitler’s Germany, on the contrary, he considered such a war … inevitable … J. V. Stalin made preparations for war … wide and varied preparations — beginning on dates … which he himself had selected. Hitler upset his calculations.”
Suvorov comments: “In early 1941 the Soviet Union had vastly more paratroops than all other countries combined. Parachutists, by their nature, can only be used in offensive operations.”
The admiral is telling us quite clearly and openly that Stalin considered war inevitable and prepared himself seriously to enter it at a time of his own choosing. In other words, Stalin was preparing to strike the first blow, that is to commit aggression against Germany; but Hitler dealt a preventive blow first and thereby frustrated all Stalin’s plans …
“Let us compare Keitel’s words with those of Kuznetsov. Field Marshal Keitel said that Germany was not preparing an aggression against the Soviet Union; it was the Soviet Union which was preparing the aggression. Germany was simply using a preventive attack to defend itself from an unavoidable aggression. Kuznetsov says the same thing — yes, the Soviet Union was preparing for war and would inevitably have entered into it, but Hitler disrupted these plans with his attack. What I cannot understand is why Keitel was hanged [at Nuremberg], and Kuznetsov was not.”
Suvorov believes that Hitler’s preemptive strike came just two or three weeks before Stalin’s own planned assault. Thus, as Wehrmacht forces smashed Soviet formations in the initial weeks of the ‘Barbarossa’ attack, the Germans marvelled at the great numbers of Soviet tanks and other material destroyed or captured – an enormous build-up sufficient not just for an assault on Germany, but for the conquest of all of Europe. Suvorov writes;
“Hitler decided that it was not worth his while waiting any longer. He was the first to go, without waiting for the blow of the ‘liberating’ dagger to stab him in the back. He had begun the war in the most favourable conditions which could possibly have existed for an aggressor; but given the nature of Stalin’s grand plan, he could never have won it. Even in the most unfavourable conditions, the Red Army was able to ‘liberate’ half of Europe …”
As devastating as it was, Hitler’s assault was not fatal. It came too late to be successful. “Even the Wehrmacht’s surprise attack on the Soviet Union could no longer save Hitler and his empire,” Suvorov writes. “Hitler understood where the greatest danger was coming from, but it was already too late.” With great effort, the Soviets were able to recover from the shattering blow. Stalin succeeded in forming new armies to replace those lost in the second half of 1941.
As Suvorov repeatedly points out, the widely accepted image of World War II, and particularly of the roles of Stalin and Hitler in the conflict, simply does not accord with reality:
“In the end … Poland, for whose liberty the West had supposedly gone to war, ended up with none at all. On the contrary, she was handed over to Stalin, along with the whole of Eastern Europe, including a part of Germany. Even so, there are some people in the West who continue to believe that the West won the Second World War. Stalin became the absolute ruler of a vast empire hostile to the West, which had been created with the help OF the West. For all that, Stalin was able to preserve his reputation as naive and trusting, while Hitler went down in history as the ultimate aggressor. A multitude of books have been published in the West based on the idea that Stalin was not ready for war while Hitler was.”
The below video, narrated by Dr. William Pierce, exposes the coordinated maneuvers by the allied nations, to throw Europe into chaotic war, communism and genocide, while to the world, their propaganda was blaming it on those who were trying to prevent it.
The Katyn Forest Massacre, was the mass murder of at least 15,000 to 22,000 ethnic Polish Officers, dignitaries, intellectuals and other community leaders, by the Jewish Soviet Communists and their NKVD.
German soldiers were informed about the mass killings by local Russians. They searched the location and after discovery of the many corpses, German officials brought in investigators from various, purportedly neutral nations and the IRC, to ascertain who the victims were and who had carried out the massacre.
It was ‘Proven’ that they were among the approximately 22,000 ethnic Poles missing from Soviet occupied Poland and other documentation found on the bodies (newspapers, diaries, winter clothing etc), showed that they were in Soviet Russia and the Jewish-Bolshevik death camps prior to their murders.
Although all evidence indicated the Jewish Bolsheviks guilt of these killings, the Jewish newspapers reported to the world, that it was yet another crime conducted by “Evil Germans.”
Further, even though today it is now an established fact in historical records, that this massacre was carried out by the Jewish Bolsheviks NKVD, not one government, Jewish paper or obscure article has ever conceded their criminal defamatory error and, not so much as an apology was ever given to the Germans for this international crime… nor has anyone been charged for this war crime and crime against humanity, except for the hanging of 7 innocent German men;

Yet another result of purported Justice from the Nuremberg Show Trials. In fact, those who sat in the position of Prosecution against these innocent German men at Nuremberg, were the Soviet Officials responsible for this crime (and many others), in the biggest display of ‘Conflict of Interest‘ the world has ever been subjected to!
Following numerous Soviet excuses and pretended searches, the British and American authorities both knew of Soviet responsibility by the time the Nuremberg Tribunals were held. The alleged evidence of Hearsay excerpts read allowed – yet with no present witnesses – from unsigned documents with no letterheads, purporting to be reports of Forensic examinations and, the charges of German guilt brought at the IMT, placed the British and American Governments, along with the whole Tribunal itself, in an intensely difficult position. Relations with the Polish Government-in-Exile were strained and to have acquitted Göring and the other IMT defendants of this crime, would have implied that the Jewish-Soviets were in fact guilty… but they shared the bench as Prosecution!
To find them guilty of this crime, would have imploded the whole post-war proceedings and exposed the IMT as the illegitimate Show Trial that it was… this would not be tolerated at any cost.
Investigative Documentary held in the U.S. National Archives
“Official records, opened in 1990 when glasnost was still in vogue, show that Stalin had every intention of treating the Poles as political prisoners. Just two days after the [Soviet] invasion [of Poland] began on 17 September, the NKVD created a Directorate of Prisoners of War. It took custody of Polish prisoners from the Army and began organizing a network of ‘Reception Centers’ and transfer camps and arranging rail transport to the western USSR. Once there, the Poles were placed in “special” (concentration) camps, where, from October to February, they were subjected to lengthy interrogations and constant political agitation. The camps were at Kozelsk,Starobelsk and Ostashkov, all three located on the grounds of seized Orthodox monasteries, converted into prisons. The NKVD dispatched one of its rising stars, Major Vassili Zarubin, to Kozelsk, where most of the officers were kept, to conduct interviews. Zarubin presented himself to the Poles as a charming, sympathetic, and cultured Soviet official, which led many prisoners into sharing confidences that would cost them their lives.”
“During April-May 1940, the Polish prisoners were moved from their internment camps and taken to three execution sites. The place most identified with the Soviet atrocity is Katyn Forest, located 12 miles west of Smolensk, Russia. For years historians assumed that the grounds of an NKVD rest and recreation facility were both an execution and burial site for nearly a fifth of the unfortunate Poles who found themselves in Soviet captivity. Post-Cold War revelations, however, suggest that the victims were shot in the basement of the NKVD headquarters in Smolensk and at an abattoir in the same city, although some may have been executed at a site in the forest itself. In any event, the Katyn Forest is–and will probably long remain–the main symbol of the atrocity, even if it was not the actual killing field.” […] “Despite overwhelming evidence of Soviet responsibility, Moscow blamed the Germans, and for the rest of the war, Washington and London officially accepted the Soviet counter-charge (from the Germans). When the Polish government-in-exile in London demanded an international inquiry, Stalin used this as a pretext to break relations. The Western allies objected but eventually acquiesced. Soon thereafter, the Soviet dictator assembled a group of Polish Communists that returned to Poland with the Red Army in 1944 and formed the nucleus of the postwar government.
“Those who died at Katyn included an admiral, two generals, 24 colonels, 79 lieutenant colonels, 258 majors, 654 captains, 17 naval captains, 3,420 NCOs, seven chaplains, three landowners, a prince, 43 officials, 85 privates, and 131 refugees. Also among the dead were 20 university professors; 300 physicians; several hundred lawyers, engineers, and teachers; and more than 100 writers and journalists as well as about 200 pilots. It was their social status that landed them in front of NKVD execution squads. Most of the victims were reservists who had been mobilized when Germany invaded. In all, the NKVD eliminated almost half the Polish officer corps–part of Stalin’s long-range effort to prevent the resurgence of an independent Poland.”
Documents show Stalin signed Katyn death warrants
Although the documents have been available to a handful of researchers since 1992, since the fall of the Soviet Union, it took nearly 20 years for the general public to be given access to the files which concern the 1940 Katyn massacre.
The sight of Stalin’s signature, on what amounts to a collective death warrant, quells decades of debate on the massacre and gives the lie to claims by die-hard Stalinist’s, that their idol did not personally sanction the killings.
The files catalogue the chilling decision-making process that culminated in Stalin and his Jewish-henchmen approving the execution of 21,587 unarmed Poles, in 1940.
One of the documents made public is a note from Lavrentiy Beria, the head of the NKVD, to Stalin about the fate of the Poles. Beria proposes that the NKVD “quickly examine the use of the highest means of punishment – death by shooting.” Stalin’s signature and a red stamp reading “Top Secret” are on the first page of the document, which is dated March 1940. Another document, a secret internal Soviet Communist party memo from 1965, refers to “what was formerly Bourgeois Poland” and warns against any public disclosure, arguing that the documents have no historical value.

Count Jerzy Potocki, the Polish Ambassador in Washington, in a report to the Polish Foreign Office in January 1939, is quoted approvingly by the highly respected British military historian Major-General JFC Fuller. Concerning public opinion in America he says:
“Above all, propaganda here is entirely in Jewish hands when bearing public ignorance in mind, their propaganda is so effective that people have no real knowledge of the true state of affairs in Europe. It is interesting to observe that in this carefully thought-out campaign no reference at all is made to Soviet Russia. If that country is mentioned, it is referred to in a friendly manner and people are given the impression that Soviet Russia is part of the democratic group of countries. Jewry was able not only to establish a dangerous centre in the New World for the dissemination of hatred and enmity, but it also succeeded in dividing the world into two warlike camps. President Roosevelt has been given the power to create huge reserves in armaments for a future war, which the Jews are deliberately heading for.”

In a 1976 interview with Harold Rosenthal, top Administrative Aide to US Senator Jacob Javits, said the following when discussing the Jewish usurpation of Russia…
Excerpt: “It is an established rule to destroy all members of pre-existing government, their families and relatives, but never Jews. You asked for someone who had lived in Hitler’s Germany to give an account on what it was like. Permit me, someone who lived under the Swastika flag from 1935, when the Saar was reunited with Germany, to 1945, to give a short answer.
Living in Hitler’s Germany

“To be a boy or girl at that time was wonderful. In the Hitler Youth the differences between Christian denominations or the different German states didn’t count. We all truly felt that we were members of one body of people – one nation. Youth hostels were opened all over the Reich, enabling us to hike from one beautiful town to another seeing our fatherland. Every effort was made to strengthen our minds and bodies. Contrary to what is said today, we were encouraged to become free in spirit, and not to succumb to peer (or authority) pressure. In peacetime, NO military training was allowed by the Hitler Youth leadership; scouting yes. Incidentally, to “snitch on our parents” was frowned upon.
At the very time when America’s allies, the Soviets, destroyed most of the Christian churches in Russia and Ukraine, about 2500 new churches were built in Germany – NOT ONE Christian church was closed. It was the law that school and church had priority over service in the Hitler Youth. As late as the fall of 1944, the Waffen SS barracks in Breslau, supplied two buses to take youth to either the nearest Catholic or Protestant church every Sunday. To be a registered member of a Christian church did not prevent advancement in the National-Socialist Party.
Germany was National-Socialist, but free enterprise flourished during the entire Hitler years. No company was nationalised. No small businessman was stopped from opening up his own store. I myself worked during the war for a company that can only be called part of international capitalism. If you owned shares, nobody confiscated them, like the allies did in 1945. The accomplishments of the ‘Nazis’ were incredible. Starting without money and with six million unemployed (a third of the workforce), they constructed the entire German Autobahn road network in a short span of 6 years – almost without corruption – while seeing to it that the new road system did not unnecessarily destroy either the German landscape, or wildlife habitats and forests. Two years after the NS were elected to power, conditions were so improved that workers had to be hired in nearby friendly countries to help alleviate the worker’s shortage in Germany.
Germany was booming while Britain, France and the US were in the depths of depression. To help the workers get cheap transportation, the VW was designed and a factory was being built for their manufacture when the war started. Also, for the common people, villages of small single family homes were erected. The monthly payments were set so low that almost anyone could afford his own house. In Hitler’s Germany there were no homeless; no beggars. Crime was almost non existent because habitual criminals were in concentration camps. All this was reported in the newspapers and was known by everybody. The German press during the Third Reich had fewer taboos than the American press today. The only taboo I can think of evolved around Hitler, and, during the war, there was a law that prohibited “defeatism”. This was because of the negative role the German press played in the German defeat of 1918. It bears remembering that the ‘European Economic Community” was first coined by the Third Reich government. I remember many articles, both pro and con about this subject. One should also not forget that during the war at least seven million foreign nationals (nearly 10% of the population) worked in Germany, either as voluntary workers (Dutch, Danes, French, Poles, Ukrainians come to mind), or as forced laborers or as prisoners. I know of no instance where foreigners were attacked or molested (much less killed) because they were foreigners.
Speaking of the press, I have an article from 1943 in my possession that spells out how necessary friendship is between the German and Russian peoples.
Between 1933 and 1945 there was a tremendous emphasis on culture: theatres flourished; the German movie industry produced about 100 feature films per year (of which not one was anti-American. Only 50 of them can be considered pure propaganda movies). Some of the best classical recordings still extant were made in Hitler’s Germany. Actors from all over Europe, but mainly from France, Sweden and Italy were stars in German movies..Germany always loved sports, and there was no lack of opportunities to partake in any sport one liked. The 1936 Berlin Olympics was merely a showcase of what transpired all over the Reich. In a book on these Olympics issued by the Hitler Youth that is still in my possession, Jesse Owens is shown several times and mentioned favorably. During the Schmeling boxing fights, we kids all knew of Joe Louis, the brown bomber. Nowhere did I ever read derogatory remarks about other races. Certainly the accomplishments of Germany and the Germans were given prominence, similar to ‘the ad nauseum’ statements of today that the U.S. is the land of the free, etc. In my ten years in the Hitler Youth (actually 8, since I obviously couldn’t attend while a soldier), the Jews were never mentioned.
Other sports that gripped our attention were flying (there was Hitler Youth flying training with their own sail planes), car races (British and Italian drivers dominated) and riding.
Frequently I am asked about gun control during the Hitler era. Claims are made that Hitler could take power because he disarmed the German people. That is nonsense. In Germany gun ownership was never as prevalent as it is in America. I would say that for hundreds of years one needed a gun license in order to keep a weapon. On the other hand, my father owned an old pistol clandestinely (about which we children knew), and there were gun clubs all over the Reich. Furthermore, Germany was always a country with many excellent gunsmiths. It is doubtful that they could stay in business if the laws were too stringent. I would surmise that while Germany was Germany (before it was ‘liberated’ by the allies) gun ownership probably was far more widespread than is acknowledged today. Laws on the books were mainly to give the police a handle to arrest criminals with guns, not the ordinary citizen. Incidentally, just as Hitler had forbidden so-called ‘punishment exercises’ in the army (the brutal methods still employed in the American army), so had he forbidden the use of clubs by the police. He considered it demeaning to the German people.
Finally this: I don’t believe I’ll ever see again a people as happy and content as were the great majority of Germans under Hitler, especially in peacetime.
Certainly some minorities suffered:
Former parliamentary politicians – because they couldn’t play their political games;
The Jews – because they lost their power over Germany;
The gypsies – because during the war they were required to work;
and crooked union bosses – because they lost their parasitical positions.
To this day I believe that the happiness of the majority of a people is more important than the well-being of a few spoiled minorities. In school there should be emphasis on promoting the best and the intelligent, as was done in Germany during the Hitler years – a fact that contributed after the war to the rapid German reconstruction. That Hitler was loved by his people, there can be no question. Even a few week’s before the war’s end and his death, he was able to drive to the front and mingle among the combat soldiers with only minimum security. None of the soldiers had to unload their weapons before meeting with the Fuhrer (as was required when President Bush met with American soldiers during the Gulf War).
Germany under Hitler was quite different from what the media would have you believe.”

Germany entered war in 1939 with 3,195 tanks. As Suvorov points out, this was fewer than a single Soviet factory in Kharkov, operating on a, so-called, “peacetime” basis, was turning out every six months.
